Nature's Decay and Rebirth

Written: October 6, 2025, for contest sponsored by: Constance La France Quote: "Flowers fade and decay through wintry hours- waiting for rebirth." Quote by - Constance La France *********** The blooms bowed with a brittle grace. Its hues faded in frost embrace They slumber underneath the freezing breath. Bear for rebirth from death. Trees remain still, and their roars hushed. Golden crowns by the cold gusts crushed But deeper within every serene limb. Life stirs light of dusk, dim. Earth, yet parched, stirs with a soft hum—. A heartbeat in the icy drum. Fingers of roots reach with the tender ache. To sip, soar, greet dawn, wake The sun comes back with gentle tread. Shades are soft, bright, and vivid red. Raw seeds stir from their literal slumber Swish scent of smooth lumber. Earth breathes softly in shades of green. Songbirds weave a warmer sky scene The green whispers arise—from ice and ash. Meek glow, raw life rehash.

Your work is an evocative, hopeful poem. It reminds us that even in the deepest freeze, life waits — and that renewal is not a miracle, but a gradual unveiling of energy that was always present under the surface.
