Nature's Dance

a crisp, chilly, autumn day in the northwest
the whipping effects of the wind , biting
the shelter of a nearby doorways , inviting
the swooshing sounds , howling , growling
plastic lids atop empty cups , clickity clack the walkway
loose coverings and newspapers , snap the airways

as i stand there huddled , in my space of comfort
wondering in my observant imagination

is it the debri i see in flight around me ?
or , the invisible effects of nature , now seen ?

funny it may seem , deep thought overwhelming ,
are there other unseen acts of nature ,
awareness only through props of perception ,
is there something bigger , granduer ,
unseen , but felt , yet still unknown,
what is it that i wait for , so i'll be shown ,

like the aerial dance of the newspaper .
