Nature's Conversation

Listen...
To the sounds of Nature around you.
Take that moment of your busy life, reflect,
Listen...
Be open to what you are missing.
Do you hear the conversation of Nature surrounding you?
Yes it's there,
Listen...
The gentile breeze rustling the leaves of the trees,
Dancing, talking intertwined together,
Becoming one with each other.
Listen...
Do you hear the birds as they sing to each other from tree to tree.
The sound of music they sing to one another,
Telling their story of adventures they had that day.
Listen...
Do you hear the waves hugging the shoreline,
Never seeming to get enough.
Listen...
To the buzz of the bee dancing,
From flower to flower,
Making the visit short but ever so sweet.
Listen...
To the conversation of Nature,
Your missing out on a beautiful story,
She has to tell.
Don't let the conversation fall onto deaf ears.
For one day, one day,
Nature will fall silent,
And the only conversation that you will hear,
Will be your own.
Will your story be as beautiful as hers?

Title should have an apostrophe: Nature's Conversation. (Sorry, it's the proofreader in me.)

Darryl, a great write with a troubling question ... I hope I never the silent day of nature ... when the music of it rings your poetry like this. Love and peace
