Nature's Call

Beyond these walls
I step
and abandon
myself
to nature's
siren call.

Restless winds
beckon
crashing waves
roar
and thunder
rumbles from
afar.

My pulse is
quickened
I feel alive.

A moody sky glares
under an iridescent
glow
as emerald forests
frame distant
mountain peaks.

Wild, unpredictable
I thrill in the drama
as I watch seagulls
draft currents
small crabs
scurrying
sandpipers earnestly
poking
for grubs.

My essence is
wrapped
within the
womb
of nature.

My heart is
entwined
within its mighty
spell
it cannot be
undone.
