Notes About The Poem

Nature's Advocate

Creatures of feathers, fur and fins gather ‘round to touch her heart. Somehow their instincts assure them she will strive to offer protection. Wee winged one that fell from its nest she cradles in loving hands, feeding and nursing till it can soar through life on its own. Abandoned kittens and pups find a temporary home with her, until she can place them with loving souls who nurture. Baby dolphin stranded on a beach receives prompt attention, when she carries it to those with healing talents. Rewards are rightfully reaped as she hears birds singing, feels love in a kitten’s purr, finds joy watching dolphins play. Each act of kindness is repaid a hundred times and more. Leaving gentle impressions of hope, one life to another..

So wonderfully put Carolyn. While I read this my cat Shadow cleans herself and assures me that your poem is so very true; animals are like children to me, thanks for sharing and I have to fave this:-)

Absolutely wonderful. Animals are a gift from God to teach us about love, loyalty and self sacrifice. They seem to be born with these traits. Not so Man kind we must learn it from others. Great job. Love it. From 1 to 7 this is a 10. God Bless, JB

An absolutely beautiful relationship between nature and nature lovers. I believe that those who have no love for animals find it hard to love their neighbors. Full marks to you...not out of kindness, but because they are merited:) Hugs // paul

Nature has created life to fill every nook and cranny, yet in creating humans nature created a life form that creates and destroys, thankfully nature gave some humans empathy to help those who cannot help themselves...my first thought after reading your poem..
