Nature Or Nurture
So intertwined it was hard to tell
Was I born like this or was this nurtured?
Feelings unclaimed by others in my family
Resonate from my child self
I thought I was adopted, was sure of it
However my identical twin was sure she was not
And we do have Daddy’s eyes
Nature or nurture?
My soul self remembers blips and slivers
Of other lifetimes
Or were these my dreams?
Hard to say; they were more vivid than life
Is that what dead this?
Real living? I am not a philosopher
Yet I remember things so hard,
And feelings I cannot name
For there are no names for them
So was I born like this or was this nurtured?
I look back and remember
But was it this life or another?
Complications for sure
