Nature Is You

Behold the distance between the heart and the head is not so great
Yet I fear mine are sworn strangers when it comes to you
For you compare to morning dew on fresh grasses
You compare to healthy chicks freshly hatched by a loving hen
You compare to nature itself, flawless in its timeless beauty and pleasant in it mathematical precision
You compare to a young child's fantasy of a blissful future
You compare to my daydream on a joyful weekday
You compare to everything and yet to nothing
For you are only a dream and a wishful thought
Behold reality awaits me and nothing compares to it!

Love the nature of your poem above. I would call the way you describe her a personification poem. So much to give, nature at her best when in love. Great comparison. LINDA

It was inevitable, Linda. You and poetrysoup sound the same in my head! Hahaha.
