Nature Dishonored

Have you ever been mesmerized By the setting sun Only to question what it’ll be like If the sun refuses to set in the west The rivers sometimes run and trickle Down the slippery rocks of Dunns River Falls Captivating visitors from near and far One can’t help but wonder How it will be Should the rivers one day refuse To run to the sea Easter comes but once a year And so does Christmas too But should the clouds withhold their blessings And bring forth rain just once Would we take time to appreciate Our beautiful beaches and lakes? I was once hypnotized by the rainbow Then later reminisced about its multi colored rays? Just then I wondered Should the rainbow desire a make makeover, What would become of the violet, yellow and green? With all these We have been endowed Yet we show no regard for their splendor I would prefer a life rather mundane Than to see nature return The ill-favor we’ve shown.
