Nature Decay and Rebirth

Nature's Decay and Rebirth
?"Flowers fade and decay through wintry hours-waiting for rebirth." - Constance La France
?The autumn colors start to fade,
A silent frost begins to touch the ground,
The forest sleeps within the shade,
No bright green is found.
?The coldness grips the barren wood,
The heavy snow now blankets all the land,
All creatures wait as they should,
Beneath the frozen hand.
?A hidden power rests below,
The seeds are gathered in the quiet earth,
The quiet river ceases to flow,
A promise of worth.
?The days begin to slowly grow,
A gentle change the atmosphere now brings,
We watch for the first sign to show,
The joy that spring sings.
?The sleeping beauty starts to rise,
The vibrant green explodes with sudden grace,
A dazzling hope before our eyes,
Life finds its own space.
