Nature and Me
Amidst the hills, there lays
a greeny valley and a river
flowing beside where it’s
elixir dripping from the
elevated peaks of hillocks,
kissing the white creamy
stones to churn, it into
decorous dewy pebbles.
The scream of peacocks
with ecstasy on the vast
fields savouring the punch
of tender paddy grains and
the parched cattle’s heartily
pacing to sip water from the
flawless flowing freshet.
With an aura of mumbling
hymn from the temple, my
soul quietly departed to the
true self of me that hidden, to
the naïve village girl whose
blood and spirit devoted to this
land of legacy where its charisma
can only exist with nature.
The metropolitan now ceased
its effort to alter the inner me.
