on brink of summer
an eager Painted Lady
first to the party
drifting pollen swathes
golden contours round wood’s edge
fox cubs exploring
festooned with blossom
blackbird trills in paradise
serenades his world
ladybird in rain
slides down slippery palm frond
tiny splash in pool
nature varied in its forms
a wonderful world adorns
