Ah, but back in the radio days, who knew what colour he was? I certainly did not. It was only with TV that we were able to see artists (and that was really shocking - e.g., like discovering that Israel Kamakawiwo'ole did not look anything like Johnny Mathis!). There was never a day I did not prefer listening to Nat, rather than Frank Sinatra, so thanks for the reminder! Aloha! Rico

I do remember him; a very nice voice and he had some fabulous recordings. Love Natalie's recording with him on it, "Unforgettable"; such a great piece of dedication to him. I was very young but I remember we had his albums in the house. I've no doubt that he was a wonderful man. Great tribute to him.
