Nanna

Nanna is a nice word. Nickname for mom's mother. Never too far to reach. Nearby to help you out. Needing advice or care. Needles clicking knitting. Nice tiny tot booties.

Nanny is what my grandkids call their great grandmother. My mother wanted to be called Nana. I don't knit, but I love crocheting for my grandkids. A sweet write, Jean! Congrats on your win! Blessings, Kim

Here it is Granny Kim. My children call me Mammy which I have always found strange. I expected Mum, like I used.

Hi Jan. Like me you are up late. My mum's mum was a typical granny, a small lady with granny glasses, (the ones with no rims). She was a gentle soul. My dad's mum died when I was only two. Sad you missed out on that relationship. A piece of the jigsaw puzzle of our lives.
