NANDI OF THE ZULU KINGDOM

A mother is a springboard, strong and sure From which dreams soar, and spirits roar. She launches hearts with boundless grace Lighting the path toward life’s embrace. Nandi was Shaka Zulu’s springboard With eyes as sharp as an eagle's gaze. She guided him to rise in might A lioness who never swayed Holding steady through day and night. Indeed, a mother is a springboard Lifting hopes to greater heights Clearing paths with her guiding light Like a crane, lifting courage to flight.
