Nancy and Joe

Nancy and Joe
Put on quite a show,
Outdid themselves gaily in fashion.
What each of them got
Was what each was not;
So they had to make it on passion.

They bickered and swore,
Could stand it no more.
A contract in heaven seemed jaded.
The pity of this
Was each had to miss
The joy for which image was traded.
