Nameless Poem
Pain comes creeping in on little cat’s feet
Silent like the night it falls
floating on butterflies - that dance eerily through
shattered visions know only as my childhood
Thoughts tumble, like
a tornado of misspoken words
deep sobs echo
losing their way,
resonating within
Mercilessly tired eyes
cry rivers of pain
The shadows of a hundred days
lost sleep
despite my heart
the silence
breaks in
and I embrace the dark and
jagged shards.
Desolation,
Isolation
pulls towards me
encompassing
my inner self
to ask, yet again
who am I?
Spiraling
screaming
for acceptance
culminating in expression
beyond the waves
searching the deepest chasms
of this soul’s long journey
Hope does not show her face
and It rains on the carnival
And all the pretty horses run together
into silence
forever lost
overwhelmed with
self grief.
Hope waits within expectation
testing the faith
empowering my soul
and I breathe.
Deeply, fulfilling myself,
for today…
