Naked Verse
A naked verse is unadorned by flourishes, red meat,
Though subtlety may serve it's ends, the object's not deceit!
It's written to communicate, so most words are not large,
A simple verse unravels with a concept to discharge!
A naked verse has no pretext; its content stands alone,
Each stanza serves the main context, apology's unknown,
The author's muse is vetted long before you reach the end,
Polemics have no stature here; it's discourse with a friend.
It won't amaze or scare you much; it keeps a reasoned pace,
It's not like politics or war, for reason stays in place,
It's rarely revolution's friend to push folks to the brink,
But serves instead when news gets raped to help its victims think!
