Naked Moon
Naked moon,
You defy the stars
Because you are close so soon
Yet you are far.
You tame the light
Yet you make the savage
That calls himself night.
Before day you fall out of sight.
Like a secret in a shadow
You are scared to stay.
You must rival against the light ray.
Naked moon,
The earth is your cover
In which you lay
While I wait at night to watch you play.
You shed your mask
As you leave my bed.
At night
Once more we meet again
For you soar upon the sky
And in my window you pore.
I find myself stuck
Between the hinge of the door.
Naked moon,
Arise
And covet me softly
From within your discise.
You make infinity reach
And the stars you teach.
You are the heart of the sky
And you are the eye’s main part.
The jealousies of the planets are cast upon you
And takes away from the gods of the past.
They seem to save the best for last.
Naked moon,
You are the night’s eye
Watching over where tainted men lie.
You lead me to the truth
And stayed with me through youth
As I grew.
Naked moon,
As you are naked to me
I am naked to you too.
