Naked Jaywalker
Without fear I --
I am going to walk down Main Street naked –ah!
with my surreptitious flopping, folding and dangling
I won’t wear shades nor mask to hide my lies.
Striped of my myriad subtleties and free!
I may dance, the naked and free dance
of those who have nothing to hide but their nakedness.
I will sing a nude song of sincerity,
difficult to voice but attractive.
Naked, naked, naked and without fear;
Boldly I will walk with head high and
Insecurities cast to the sidewalk.
Open to all who point, scorn, and ridicule
from behind their coats and mask of indifference.
