Mystery Crash

Recall a moment on Friday evening
waiting for the bus, I heard a loud bang
a car careened into a pole, debris
scattered, pedestrians stared, bewildered.

What happened? all inquired, much confusion.
various causes considered – drinking
likely, most supposed, the occupants still
inside, stunned, immobile, then one emerged –
unscathed, no injuries apparent.

Female occupant unstable, impaired
by drink or shock, indeterminate right then
the bus arrived at this juncture - this tale
incomplete – what happened next? – unknown cause.

Good one about an everyday happenstance..Enjoyed the suspense..I am glad that I chose this one to read this eve..Your presence at my work encouraged me..Yes, we had an ice storm here which had us trapped inside for it was too dangerous for us to even go out our driveway..The snow is usually not as bad as the ice...Anytime that it snows or ices we can have power outages which is really upsetting because we are total electric..Sara
