Mysterious Boy

I look up ahead in the distance

But, I cant make out who you are

As I take a step closer towards you

I somehow feel as though you are drifting further and further away

I dont understand the science behind it all

I just somehow wish that you weren’t so mysterious

Even though i’m reaching out trying to touch you

I cant even see you

And I take a while to reflect

I can see you, your physical being

I don’t know you history, your pain, your thoughts

I dont know you family, your weakness, your insecurities

But, I wish you knew that I cared

that you are worth a million kisses

one trillion hugs

and no money or possessions can replace your story

I wish I could be there for you

through the storm, rainbow or shine

But, I cant.

You’re just the boy up ahead in the distance
