Myself
Most people want to be in the lime light-
To perform a great feat or win a spectacular fight;
Many want their names written up in Who's Who;
Others perform dangerous acts just to make it through.
Some will compromise their values and personality;
Others want to sail and conquer the sea.
Some want to be among the "stars"-
To wear fancy clothes and drive fancy cars-
To live in a world of glamour and luxury;
But I prefer to be Myself-me
To live a life of God-given simplicity-
With fruits of love, peace, joy and happiness.
Just to be myself is all I could ask;
That, within itself, is an important task-
For I am someone special and unique-
No one else has my identical physique;
And when I endeavor to do my best,
I will succeed and pass the test-
For by God's Hand I have been blessed;
And there is no one else I'd rather be-
So I will use all my God-given qualities
And be MYSELF - ME!
