My ‘not-just-six relatives’ tree enlivens…
Living, thriving, struggling and
clinging reminders even ‘dead wood’!
Bringing life anew reveals…
One and all, grandparents, parents,
mothers and fathers, siblings, aunts and uncles,
cousins, husbands, offspring,
grandchildren, and adoptees!
Infusing roots silently penetrate…
bringing nourishment, embracing darkness,
sharing wisdom and fostering foundation.
Bulging expanding trunk engages…
fascinating encounters, chirpers,
peckers and rings with Mother Nature.
Soaking sun branches explore…
unfathomable lofty places, panoramic
vision and surprising sprigs.
Sparkling festive leaves escort…
bright coloring mindful of our seasons,
crispy shiny growth, maturation,
demise and respite for renewal.
Exploding fragrant blossoms invite…
flying newbies to share space
squatters to temporary home
buzzing news for the times.
Sharing relives my ‘not-just-six relatives’ tree wisely…
remembers, enhances, beautifies and
unifies the rumors.
Creating cherished fondness in memories, embraces…
my yesterdays, todays and tomorrows.
