My writing
is my dialogue with the world.
Even if there isn't an answer...
As there so often isn't...
Or, if there is,
it's from someone who doesn't understand
what I'm trying to say.
[I feel like I'm channeling Robert Creeley right now
(and I've probably lost most of you with that).
This is how a culture is lost.]

My writing
is my attempt to convey
the true depths of the isolation
I feel in myself
and in all those around me.
I feel I, and they, are missing
some essential connection.

When I sit down to write
I'm trying to reconnect.
This may be a lost cause.
But I keep trying
because
nothing means more
than a real connection
to Life.
