My World

Take a step into my mind.
We’ll fast forward but,
we can always rewind;
if you have time.

You just don’t understand,
and I always thought you would.
Just take my hand,
I’ll lead you to a life so grand.

See, what hurts more than losing you,
is knowing that you’re not fighting to keep me.
And the times just flew,
for me, with my life anew.

Some folks think I’m a nut,
and some would say that’s good,
but some just don’t see
how bad it hurts our love unfurled,
because, you see, you were my world.
