My Wonder Pen
I've found a voice in my pen,
A calm song in my ears.
Melodious notes sounding gently,
To the cool rhythm from heartbeat.
Clearly audible to the listening eyes.
This sharp pointed mouth of mine,
First with a letter it starts,
Then a word, line, then a page.
On and on it goes.
Strolling with a sole of blue ink,
Making footprints on my book.
With fine eloquence it speaks,
In critical prose and emotional poetry.
Helping my stammering lips
To say that my tongue slows to say,
With hope that the echo is always heard
After a long time it stops to speak.
Then when it's done after a full stop,
In admiration and surprise
At such huge a task by this tiny pen,
My eyebrows raised, my mouth widely open.
Ready to speak for the first time,
Saying "what a wonder pen".
