My Wish

I just wish, for just a moment,

 People would stop.

 Stop talking,

 Stop whispering,

 Stop caring so much!

just simply Stop eavesdropping in conversations

 And analyzing too much.

 Stop thinking about things

 That seem too extreme,

 Because sometimes things are

already The way they’re meant to be.

I just wish, for one moment,

 People would change.

 Change their walk

 Change their attitudes

Change the way that they talk.

Change the way that they look at you

As they pass in the hall.

 Change their behaviors to people

Who can’t change what they want,

Because we are quick to judge

Yet much to hesitant to budge.

I just wish, for a moment, one single moment

 People would listen.

 Listen to others

 Listen to learn

 Listen to our repetitive mistakes.

 Listen to the unmistakable silence

That fills a room with its desperate tension.

Listen to the way their heart

 Beats as they live,

Because there is nothing more beautiful

 Than that spark of independence.

I just wish, for a moment,

 Things were different.

That there weren’t people who would

 Judge you

 Assess you

 debate your worth.

Because we aren’t defined in numbers or in words,

 But rather in our actions

 Our ideas

 Our emotions.

We are who we make of ourselves to be

 We are original,

 We are exceptional,

 We are limitless.

 But then again,

 It’s just a wish

It sounds to me like you are a Soldier of God...and that's the best wish anyone could hope for!
