My Window
My Window
From my window I can splendidly see
The first rays of the sun so soft ,
Striking the leaves of the stately tree
And the feathers of the bird that sails aloft;
I see cows grazing on the grassy green,
Flowers smiling with radiance in the lustrous light,
Clouds sailing to kingdoms before unseen ,
The hills beyond a shining sight;
With faltering steps the little child walks
Towards the gates of her house to see
The world beyond, the panorama of life talks
In garbled language and in actions so free;
The twilight I watch from my window clear
As golden hues of the setting sun
The sky and clouds with paint endear ,
Nature's elegance is never undone;
At night when through my window beams
The moon and stars' soothing light,
Dream and vision in silence streams
Into the mind , lucid and bright;
Window of my mind , window of my heart ,
Through your hallowed portals this Self sets sail
To worlds of bliss does it blessedly depart,
My window does the Immortal Spirit hail.
