My Will

I wake up smile, and thank God for another day
Give him my will, it is he who I obay.
I hit my knees, pray and look at the next 24 hours
Again, hand it over to God, the one with the powers.
If I dont read my passages every morning
I will start my day over, due to his forewarning.
He is by my side day and night
through sadness, pain, and addiction I will always fight.
Knowing I am where I am supossed to be
The day I put down the drink/drug was the day He set me free
I know he has always wanted best for my life,
But I was always turned away in a state of strife.
