My Wild Heart

My wild hear will not go quietly, It'll thrash and rave at society's cage. It wants to see sun be buried beneath Each of the seven seas. It wants to watch the raindrops chase each other Down all the leaves of the rainforest. It wants to jump from culture to culture Leaving a piece of itself with the ones it leaves behind. It wants to stare at the city lights, how they illuminate The sky like the dreams of the people. It wants to listen at campfires to an old woman's Stories and a newborn's cries. My wild heart will not be tamed, For there is too much to do.
