I have experienced many deaths in my life,
and have found an unfathomable strength;
dwelling within and that has made the difference,
so, I keep memories in my heart but keep going.
I do my part to prevent climate warming,
and have hope if we all work together;
to control the garbage and keep oceans clean,
so, working to make a difference keeps me going.
People in my life are very important to me,
family, friends and even random people;
when out and about, a hello and smile is free
it costs me nothing to do and keeps me going.
Music, the internet and Cable TV,
are my faithful friends everyday;
I try recipes from my Mom's old cookbook,
to keep her memory and that keeps me going.
Staying healthy, fit, and strong a must,
and being my own kind of beautiful daily;
I love to inspire people to be their best,
and my cat purring beside me keeps me going.
I enjoy creating my summer porch garden,
creating a place to meditate, to just rest;
a place to read, to write, to draw and paint;
for being creative and curious keeps me going.
And because I was a nurse I make lists,
for everything like housework and goals;
a time for this and that keeps me sane,
and often silence and solitude keeps me going.
