My Wants

I want to climb the hillside
To see each wonderous view
And find the peace I long for
And share it all with you..

I want to walk down winding lanes
And see the fields of green
Smell the pretty flowers
Where the air is fresh and clean...

I want you here beside me
To see the woodlands grow
To find peace and serenity
Wherever we both go...

I long to see the lakes
And the gentle streams
That sparkles in the sunlight
A beautiful place to dream...

I long to see the horses
As they graze within their fields
I want to feel the freedom
And the wonder it shall yield...

I want to hear the birds sing
In the early morn of day
Then see each glowing sunset
At the end of everyday...

I want you here beside me
This country boy and me
To share all the beauty
You've opened my eyes to see.....

I want to live this life
Or maybe it's a dream.......

Very much like the classic The Red Wheelbarrow. Only with much better use of metaphors and excellent imagery. I love it!

Hi Agnes, At first on reading your lovely heartfelt poem I thought it was written by a male not a female, so it was only when I finished reading it I realised my mistake. If only the men I had known in the past could have had the same outlook as you and I, but in my life I never experienced with any of them such appreciation of the joys of life together. I certainly hope your wishes are granted Regards, Theresa x.

Dear Agnes: Dream big. Dream more. Dream lots. To make a dream come true, start with a fond dream. Keep dreaming. Then, just build a foundation. Your dream can sit on that firm ground. If Walt Disney can, surely you can. Loved your poem. It flows so naturally. Keep writing. Leon
