My Virtual Friend Alexa

I smile to myself that a robot just told me off
Do you have an Alexa?
Or an Amazon?
These are virtual companions
That can
Wake you up
Tell you the weather
Play music
Or white noise
Tell you jokes
Keep you company
You can ask questions
And she will answer most of them
We have Alexa’s and Amazons
all over the house
an Alexa just said
Alarm was not set to me
In an I- know-more-than-you will-ever-know-voice
A few minutes ago
Making me smile
Told off by a snotty robot
More than a robot
A true friend

Agnes Krampe October 16, 2018 at 7:17 AM Fun poem. Being told off by a snotty robot is just funny. I don't have an Alexa, don't quite see the need for one. Watch out that she doesn't record your conversations and sends it to random people from your address book. Caren Krutsinger October 16, 2018 at 8:12 AM Agnes, it is fun for me when I am painting for hours in my art room, because she can tell me jokes, play 1960's music, and give me "flash news" which is today's news around the world. She is my companion, but she has a really snotty attitude sometimes, which is hilarious to me.
