My Very Best Friend

There are needs that folks often have
As troubles come their way.
This need varies as life continues on
It is not the same every day.
To know that in a trial
I do not have to fear
I simply have to reach out
To One who is always near.
Do you have such a trusted friend?
If not I must question why?
He’s waiting for you to simply call
And not let your answer go by.
Trust in Him this very day
He’ll meet your every need.
No longer allow yourself to drift
He’s the best Friend you’ll have indeed.
A friend I have named Jesus
He is my all in all.
He never once has failed me
Regardless of how often I called.
