My Vagabond Dream
I wander about through myriad scenes of glee
On the Ferris wheel of life, no fancy pedigree,
While deliriously, excitedly, simply being me
Gliding over life’s troubles and woes on my spree
Uncommitted, unequivocally happy, you see--
No promises, no purposes, I could guarantee,
For as long as I live, I shall live most cheerfully
Flitting from this to that, hither and yon free,
Like the proverbial hobo meandering will be
Nurturing visions of grandeur may be the key.
