My Utmost Favorite Day

My utmost favorite day is today, for today is the day 
That I get to see you again. 
It has been ages.
I cannot remember how long, maybe thirty years.
But I know when we see each other, we will know each other instantly!

Uh, Oh, Is that woman you?
Or is the other woman you? 
I guess we have changed in thirty years. 
Woman in green shirt is rushing over to look me over carefully.

Linda? Uh-huh.
We hug, laugh, both talk at once.
You go, no, you go. A great start to a great day, a life long friendship!
MY utmost favorite day again, even though we had a lull in the middle.

Jan Allison January 29, 2021 at 7:55 AM SO glad i chose this one to read today as my hubby 'went' to a retirement party via zoom last night ... good job the names were visible as many people have changed so much in the years since they were last together ... the party lasted 4 hours it sounded such fun:-) you have made my day with this poem ... dont leave it 30 yrs for another catch up though !!:-) hugs Jan xx
