My Unknown Lover

MY UNKNOWN LOVER I sit by the road side, Under the moonlight, In the cold of the nights, And loneliness of the dark . Waiting for you, My unknown lover. I build fantasies, Of the two of us meeting, And falling in love, And getting married, And having children, And forming a beautiful family, And living happily therafter, My unknown lover. I know that you are there, You see me everyday, And talk to me daily. Sometimes, you listen to my voice, You save it in your memory, And keep replaying it, For you do not want to feel lonely. Sometimes, You feel like touching me, And breathing the air I breathe, But then you are so far away from me, Yet so near to my heart, You,my unknown lover. You sit down and write, The good things you love about me, And you wish I were yours. You send me letters, To ask how I am doing, Because you miss me, And you have grown fonder of me. You send me regards through your friends, And call me the woman of your life. You keep praying to meet me, And talk to me for a minute, But I am not yours today, I am still under the custody, Of he who loves me so much, And will not give me away yet. To you,my unknown lover. You have been longing to read my piece, And here it is,not for anyone, but for you. When you have gone through it, Turn the page and at the back, Write down in red what I have lied about, That in black and white, I may apologize - To you my unknown lover. I don't know when you will get this, But when it reaches your possession, Thank goodness that I feel the same way about you, And that you are not standing on the wrong side. Know that I admire you so much, For the resilience and perseverance, Self respect and self drive, You my unknown lover. When you see this, Be aware that I want to be where you are, Eating from your plate and drinking from your cup, Sitting on your laps and lying on your chest, Listening to the country music, Together in good faith, My dear unknown lover. And when you have taken hold of me, Never be tempted to let go of me, For when I disappear, I will cease to exist, For I cannot bear the sadness, Of you breaking my heart, Oh you,my unknown lover. Take my word, For your own good, That I love and cherish you, Lovable stranger, And that I miss you so much, You,whose face I have never seen. And that I want to be the love of your life, You whose name and character I know not, Because you are my hidden lover behind the mask, You are my unknown lover. Ampurire Anitah.
