My Trusy Laptop

I’m sitting here now with my laptop on my knee
I stopped a while earlier while I had my tea
I love using my laptop to converse and play
I am off work so it has whiled away the day

I checked out my twitter and facebook too
And I checked out my emails a time or two
I have written some poems on Microsoft word
Things from my mind that I wanted heard

I have one eye on the laptop in front of me
The other eye is concentrating on the TV
The Internet has opened up a world of hope
If you need to use it there is So much scope

I work on computers when I’m at work too
But that is my work the things I have to do
You’d think I’d need a rest from it when at home
I find it entertaining but I still talk on the phone

There are always many things to do when online
Technology moves on so fast but that’s just fine
I can talk to lots of people on messenger live
When I’m using my laptop I feel really alive

Just read an article that said that the computer with internet kept people younger more mentally alert and helped them live longer. This is an added benefit. Love the poem and the topic. Keep writing. Sara
