My Thoughts on Friendship

They are not always friends
who come to you with outstretched hands,
and being friendly doesn't constitute friendship.
But I can be a friend to you
without your being a friend to me.
Our demeanor often keeps friendship from being a mutual thing
and It requires some cultivating for great friendships to grow.
When a friend hurts-we hurt,
So if pricing your best friend, what would seem adequate?
and what price would be affixed to you?
You have failed when your worst enemy,
was once counted as your best friend.
Friends are not to be used and discarded,
nor come they with return privileges.
Friends are one of life's true gifts.
Treat those whom God has placed in your path with respect!
