My Thoughts On Aging

"Old" can just sit and wait for me
Because I'm not ready yet.
There's just too much to do and see,
Too many goals not met.

I can ignore all the aches and  pains,
Pretend they're just not there.
I need to go sailing while sunset wanes
And play while the weather is fair.

I don't have time for this aging thing,
It's really not for me.
I've too many songs I've yet to sing
And too many places to be.

Yes, "Old" will just have to wait awhile, 
There's still too much to do.
Tho' it beckons to me, I have to smile,
I still feel like I'm "new".

So "Old" can just sit and wait for me
Because I'm on my way,
But I'm really in no hurry you see,
So maybe I'll get there "one day".
