My Third Week of Hell

Shall I curl up my legs?
Would that be a more comfortable position?
Shall I leave them straight out? Or will they go numb?
Should I lie on my left side or my right side?
As long as I do not sit on my bottom, things are okay.
Sitting on my oozing sores, is excruciating. Painful.
Too bad all of my hobbies include sitting.
Painting. Sitting.
Cartooning. Sitting.
Word games. Sitting.
Typing poems. Sitting.
Shingles on your bottom is EXASPERATING and painful.
This is my third week of hell.

You are such a trooper Caren and to still be writing so much poetry shows how you are fighting this most painful, debilitating condition. Keep strong Caren, your are amazing! With kindest thoughts Ann xx

Thank you Ann. I am on pain pills number 12, 13, and 14. One of them kept me mostly asleep all day, so now of course I am wide awake tonight.

It was better today. I had two shots for pain yesterday and started medicines number 12, 13, and 14 which kept me asleep most of the day. When I sleep I do not cry which is great!

Thank you Jan. Every day I think "can I sit still long enough?"
