My Temptation

For so long I have thought that you were my drug. I couldn’t get enough of you, on my heart strings you’d tug. You always had a way to give me a little high. You left me wanting more every time you’d say goodbye. When you came crawling back, this time when you conceded, I may have had it all wrong and that it was me you needed. When you are down and out, or horny, bored, and lonely, I’m the one you turn to because I am your one and only. After all of this time, I thought you were my haven. It is clear now that I am your drug, and you’re just my temptation.
