My Teeth Are Awful Today

My teeth are awful today. The left side feels sixty inches higher than the right. They clench together angrily. Waking me out of a sleep of sorts. Oh, you do not want dentures, they say. But do they have these horrible little chomped down split teeth? Do they have these enamel-less hurt and cracked, dry, smack around, hurt my bleeding gums, teeth? Do they have any idea what it is to grind until it feels like you have ground down on a piece of aluminum foil? These teeth are awful today. A dentist? I scoff. They have done nothing nice for me, but so many many many many many bad things. Sh! I can barely hear my grinding.

Oh I hope this was a fictional poem - that sounds so painful!

it is not fiction, and it is painful. I have had horrible, awful, mean teeth since childhood. Many have had root canals that failed and are still pulled. One dentist told me I had the teeniest, tiniest teeth with the longest roots - roots of a 6 foot two man's tooth.

Don't you just hate to do that in your sleep? I find myself doing it any time I watch the news, these days. Truly an honest poem.

I am gritting, and grinding and bruxating every chance I get now, I start doing it two to three hours before bed now, but I do not listen to the news. I am afraid of it.
