My Sweet Missy
MY SWEET MISSY
I gaze at you with glee,
and feel a great pleasure
for having a daughter like you.
You fill my heart with delight
for all the things you do for me.
Such a sweetheart for showering me
love and attention in every little things
you do that mean so much to me,
as well as the extravagant ones
that I’m so thankful for and appreciate.
I’m so grateful for all the assistance
you are giving me wholeheartedly
in editing and reviewing my literary work
before they get published and processing
the self-publication of my second
poetry book ‘‘That Thing Called Life”.
.
I will always treasure the little things
you do, like ordering food I like and enjoy,
buying jewelries and accessories I love,
as well as trinkets, stationaries, pens
and taking me to places for leisure and fun.
I will hold in my heart our Mud/Spring Bath
with full body massage in Calistoga you give
for Mother’s Day and my birthday, as well
as our happy hour and strolls afterwards.
I will always remember the Alaska cruise
for the two of us you gave me for my birthday
and including me in your family’s Puerto Vallarta
vacations, I truly enjoy with the kids.
I appreciate your quintessence
and so delighted to be your mother.
I am so proud of the daughter you become.
I just wish you live near and not hundreds of miles away.
Thank you. Thank you, Melissa,
my sweet Missy.
