My Summer
My summer is carefully wrapped in a package of memories
It is easy to open and share
It is full of bright colors and music
It is full of the gifts of nature
Fresh air and textured cedars waving
The buzzing of an airplane soaring the light blue sky
The sag of a kite string lingering beyond
Sidewalk chalk reliving the day
The rattle of roller skates on sidewalks
The click of cards in bicycle spokes
The wonderful sounds of loved ones’ voices
Laughter and giggles
And family
All wrapped in tissue and ribbons
To be opened as a gift to share
