My Strongest Belief

My recollections won’t leave me at night; I will remember a wonderful sight: It was in spring, and I couldn’t pass by… Two yellow roses in bloom caught my eye! I will remember: you stood next to me Just to admire this couple… But we Fell for each other; and, loving so long, You had to fade in the horror of war! Don’t be afraid! You’ll survive! You’ll survive! This is the strongest belief of my life! Though lots of shots are heard day after day, Fearless angels will not fly away! Those yellow roses remind me of you, Of our love that is genuine, true… That time I did not imagine that grief Could touch us both… But my strongest belief Is still with me, and my words do revive: Don’t be afraid!
