My Stormy Day

The rain was
heavy, abundant,
and fierce and
not about to cease

I ran to find
safety, shelter,
but there was
no relief

The storm had
hit fast and hard
terrible from the
start

Aiming to destroy
all in its path,
tearing things apart

But then the
earth it rumbled,
it shook, is this
what I feared

I turned my
wet and weary
face and suddenly
she appeared

My angel from
the heavens above
had come to save
the day

She used her
smile and incredible
beauty to chase
the storm away

As soon as
I saw this amazing
feat I l knew that
it was true

I’d fell in love
with my angel of light
and behold that angel
was you

I wanted to say thank you for this beautiful poem. I just gave birth to my little girl a week ago and this embodies the emotion of that day so perfectly. Really wonderful. Thank you.

WOW, don't really know what to say...this old poem :D, it's at least 15 years old if not older...well thank you very much. Sorry I'm on an exercise in Germany (Army), I would have gotten back to you sooner. Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl, I have a little girl too (5y/o). Glad you enjoyed the poem, and please take care...:D
