My Springtime Walk
hillside is ablaze
with glorious golden gorse
spring is here at last
lambs gambol in fields
meadow lush with verdant grass
rook collects dry twigs
a flash of white tail
baby bunny goes to ground
hawk flies overhead
Written when my homeland went into lockdown for the first time in March 2020 it was glorious sunshine so we walked about 8km and these were my observations
