My Spiritual Walk

I've kept my spiritual sword close,
For my Bible lays open on my nightstand
There are petals from a wilted rose,
That I hold in my tattooed hand.
I keep a fourteen caret gold Rosary,
On my person twenty four seven.
I have prayed to the Virgin Mary,
Take my soul from this dark hole to Heaven!
I keep a wooden cross above my bed,
To ward off demonic possession.
Only through Christ's blood shed,
Am I forgiven for my transgressions.
I keep my inner thoughts on righteous things,
And avoid thoughts that are of the devil.
My soul belongs to The King of Kings!
And he protects me on every level!!

Hey Jimmy Anderson! This is one nice poem about protecting one'self from the snares of evil...It reminds me of ME! I do some similar things as well! All the best to you! You haven't posted anything for some time now....I will go down the list and read some more. Gwendolen

I enjoyed reading your amazing poetry this morning Jimmy. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I am going to see if I can write something for a couple contests this weekend. Hope you find the inspiration to do the same. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. Love, Carol
