My Special Glasses

My Special Glasses
I’ve got a special pair of glasses
Well, it’s really about the frames
It’s what is written across the top
In just three special little names
Over the left you’ll see “Forgiveness”
To remind me to leave it there
Over the right there’s written “Grace’”
That reminds me to keep it fair
A special name is in the middle
“Mercy” is the word of choice
It’s the bridge that keeps it together
And gives all three of them a voice
There’s nothing special about the lenses
Just clear glass through which to see
But oh the way it changes things
These three little words for me.
I probably look the same
With these glasses on my face
But it sure makes things look different
When seen through “Forgiveness, Mercy, and Grace”
